Infrapower I Africa

The INFRAPOWER I AFRICA Fund is an alternative investment fund focused on infrastructure opportunities in Africa, with a primary emphasis on energy transition, transportation and logistics, and digital infrastructure. It is one of Eaglestone Group's offerings, a financial services platform with a long-standing presence in Africa. Eaglestone Group specializes in infrastructure and energy, boasting a team that has successfully managed projects valued at over USD 75 billion across more than 100 infrastructure initiatives in over 30 countries. Their local and international teams combine their experience and expertise to execute a diverse range of project finance, corporate advisory, capital markets, and private equity transactions on both local and international levels.

The INFRAPOWER I AFRICA Fund provides access to a diversified range of investment opportunities across Sub-Saharan Africa, all while maintaining low operational and administrative costs. The fund ensures compliance with AIFMD management standards and follows ILPA-aligned reporting practices. It features tax-neutral structures that impose no withholding tax on corporate investors, allowing capital to remain within EU governance guidelines while still gaining exposure to the African Continent. The fund is backed by a locally experienced team with expertise in advisory services for flagship projects, such as the Corredor do Lobito, and in several proprietary investments in the renewable energy sector.

This initiative is part of a global effort to address the infrastructure gap in Africa. It focuses on developing road networks, ports, and railways to enhance regional and international connectivity and improve food security. Additionally, it aims to improve airports and urban transport systems in growing cities. The initiative also seeks to expand electrification in underserved regions by implementing off-grid renewable energy solutions, solar power farms, wind projects, and mini-grids for rural areas. Furthermore, it involves building infrastructure for clean drinking water, irrigation systems, and improved sanitation facilities. Investing in Africa's healthcare infrastructure is essential for enhancing health outcomes, promoting economic growth, and ensuring the overall well-being of the continent's population.

In addition to our robust long-term operations in South Africa, Eaglestone Capital SGOIC, which is regulated by the Angolan Capital Markets Commission, currently manages assets totalling USD 70 million. This includes two Real Estate Investment Funds—Fundinvest and Eaglestone Real Estate I—as well as two Open Investment Funds: Eaglestone Obrigações I and Eaglestone Ações I.
