Eaglestone Capital Partners, Sociedade de Capital de Risco, S.A. is a portuguese venture capital firm, that is part of the Eaglestone Group. It is a Joint Stock Corporation, incorporated in accordance with the laws of Portugal, and is registered with Portuguese Securities Commission since February 9, 2023.
The strategic purpose of initiating the activity of Eaglestone Capital Partners is linked to the decision to strengthen the asset management activity of the Eaglestone Group, leveraging the market opportunities identified in Portugal, in particular:
- The need for restructuring and recovery of key companies and sectors in the post-COVID-19 impact scenario;
- Maintaining the interest of investors in Portugal.
- Maximizing Portugal as the base for private equity investment in Africa, notably on the PALOP (Portuguese-speaking African countries) region.
Eaglestone Capital Partners's objective is to position itself as a reference institution in the Portuguese market and, in this context, it will develop a diversified offer of investment funds.
Qualified and Local Team
Eaglestone Capital Partners has a team of professionals with extensive experience in the financial and investment sector, accumulating more than 75 years of professional experience in the financial sector.
The members of the Eaglestone Capital Partners team have experience in asset management / private equity stemming from their past involvement in the creation and management of:
- ES Concessions: a proprietary private equity company that managed the Espírito Santo Group's holdings and assets in the area of infrastructures and concessions (e.g., Hospital de Loures, Empark, etc.)
- Ascendi: joint venture between the Mota Engil Group and Espírito Santo Group that developed and managed a broad portfolio of road infrastructure concessions.
The Eaglestone Capital Partners team has experience in structuring and implementing club-deals in the real estate sector, mainly focused on Angola and Mozambique, as well as other individual projects in the tourism and leisure sector such as the Mercado da Ribeira TIME OUT project and the Valverde Hotel in Lisbon.
